An 11-man technical committee has been appointed by the Akwa Ibom state Government on Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in order to open up the state to investors.
The State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, who disclosed this in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, said the decision was part of the drive to fulfill his campaign promise to open up the State for investments.
The committee is headed by Mr. Gabriel Ukpeh, an internationally celebrated auditor who is also a Partner and Risk Quality Leader for Africa at Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC)
Other members are Mr. Offong Ambah, Dr. Elijah Akpan, Mr. Ini Urua, Mr. Akan Udofia, Mr. Andrew Jason, Mr. Udeme Ufot, Mrs. Offiong Ekanem Ejindu, Mr. Larry Esin and the Commissioner for Investments, Commerce and Industry.
