Nigeria to conduct selection examination for prospective Accountant General of the Federation

A selection examination for candidates vying for the office of the Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, is to be held on Monday, June 15.

The examination to be conducted by the office of the Head of Service, HOS, of the Federation is to appoint a replacement for Jonah Otunla who retired from service on Friday.

President Muhammadu Buhari had announced Mohammed Dikwa, a director in the funds department in the office of the AGF, as the acting Accountant General pending the appointment of a substantive one.

A source at the office of the Head of Service informed PREMIUM TIMES that the examination would hold in one of the halls at the HOS office and would begin by 9 a.m.

“About 40 candidates would seat for the exam and they consist of all the Directors of Finance and Accounts in all the Ministries,” he said.

He also said some directors in the Audit department are also eligible to take the examination.
